John R. Yarno (born December 17, 1954, in Spokane, Washington) is a former professional football player. He was an offensive lineman for six seasons with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, from 1977-82. He was selected in the fourth round of the 1977 NFL Draft by the Seahawks, the 87th overall pick. [http://www.profootballhof.com/history/story.jsp?story_id=2011]

John Yarno was born in Spokane and attended Gonzaga Prep, then transferred and graduated from [http://www.spokaneschools.org/ferris/ Ferris High School] in 1973, where he was honorable mention all-city selection in the fall of 1972. He played his college football at the University of Idaho, graduating in 1977. He was a Division I first-team AP All-American in his senior season of 1976; the university retired his number 56 in 1977.
