It was founded in 1802.[1]
Demographics
In 2002, the municipality of Nueva Paz had a population of 24,281.[3] With a total area of 515 km2 (199 sq mi),[2] it has a population density of 47.1 /km2 (122 /sq mi).
The municipality is divided into the barrios of Bagáez, Ciudad, Jagua, Navarra, Palos, San Luis, Vegas and Yaya.[1]
