Steve Hamilton (pianist and poker player)

Scottish pianist Steve Hamilton was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1973.

He quickly rose to prominence in the Scottish music scene and at the age of 18 went to Berklee College of Music to study jazz. His tuition was partly subsidized by legendary rock drummer and singer Phil Collins.

Upon graduation from Berklee in 1995 Steve relocated to London, England where he played with many prominent bands including Pee Wee Ellis, Tommy Smith and Peter King, and finally became a full time member of drumming legend Bill Bruford's acoustic quartet Earthworks, recording four CDs and three DVDs.

In 2002 Hamilton returned to his native Scotland. In addition to his musical activities, Hamilton has also become a full time professional poker player.
