Earthworks (band)

Earthworks are a British jazz band led by drummer Bill Bruford. It was established in 1986 with a line up that included Django Bates on keyboards and Iain Ballamy on saxophone. The band has since gone through many line-ups featuring young British jazz players who have since gone on to become well-known, and has recorded several albums for Editions EG.

Album covers

All of the band's album covers have been created by illustrator and designer Dave McKean, who is quite close to Iain Ballamy. McKean is also a jazz pianist, and the two have worked on several musical projects together.
