Donald Loren Gile (born April 19, 1935 in Modesto, California) is a former utility first baseman/catcher in Major League Baseball who played from 1959 through 1962 for the Boston Red Sox. Nicknamed "Bear" — he was listed at 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 m) and 220 pounds (100 kg) — Gile batted and threw right-handed. He was signed by Boston out of the University of Arizona.
In a four-season career, Gile was a .450 hitter (70-for-120) with eight home runs and nine RBI in 58 games, including 16 runs, 4 doubles and 3 triple.
