Şahin Yakut

Şahin "Kaas" Yakut (pronounced|ʃɑhɪən jɑːkuːt in general) (born 08 May 1979, Iğdır, Turkey) is a Turkish kickboxer and MMA Fighter who currently lives in Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands, since he had moved with his family when he was a teenager.

He trains in "Alkmaar GYM" and is also a member of "It's Showtime Team" which is trained by Edwin van Os and owned by promoter Simon Rutz. Gago Drago and Joerie Mes are some of his sparring mates at his team. He is known for his in-fighter style which makes a massive pressure on his opponents, his flashing kicks and above all, his endurance and ambition.

He involved several organizations such as Super League, It's Showtime Trophy and special events like Challenge Private Party. He had 5 wins/1 loss record in his Super League Career in which some good fighters competed throughout the Europe.

Numerous fights of Yakut are broadcasted by Eurosport as an highly demanded fighter. He had shown himself sevearal times lengthways the It's Showtime Trophy in 2006 in which he became the champion at the end. His fights against Jiri Zak in quarters, Alviar Lima in semis and Ondrey Hutnik in the final had shown on TV.

* It's Showtime Thophy Octagon, Super-bout against French Walid Haddad in Milan, Italy in 12 April 2008 which Şahin won the fight on points.
* It's Showtime Trophy 2008 Final, quarter-final fight against Belgian Mohammad Rahhoui in Den Bosch, the Netherlands in 15 March 2008 which Şahin lost the fight on points.
* Challenge Private Party Super Bout against Porteguese fighter Ricardo Fernandes in Algarve, Portugal in 08 December 2007 which Şahin dispatched his opponent by TKO in very first round after Fernandes would not be able to continue due to low kicks he was suffered.
* Klash Event Super Bout against Porteguese fighter Jose Barradas in Transylvania, Romania in 11 November 2007 which Şahin dispatched his opponent by unanimous decision after 3 rounds.
* It's Showtime Tropy Super Bout against French fighter Jean-Philippe Garcia at Casino Villamoura, Algarve, Portugal in September 2007, which Şahin dispatched his opponent by TKO in just one and half minute in very first round.

It's Showtime Reality

* Şahin also acted in a martial arts TV contest called It's Showtime Reality from January 2008 on which is total of 12 episodes. He was a trainer for 22 fighters chosen worldwide who compete for being the winner and have the prizes of signing a $ 100.000 cost contract and a K-1 debut bout on K-1 World Grand Prix 2008 in Amsterdam on 26 April 2008. *Şahin can speak Turkish and Dutch in native level. He can speak English as well.
*Şahin is pronounced as “Sha-heen” and It means "falcon" and Yakut means "ruby" in Turkish.

*Şahin goes to Turkey every summer for holidays.
