According to the
United States Census Bureau , the CDP has a total area of 23.4square mile s (60.7km² ), of which, 22.8 square miles (59.0 km²) of it is land and 0.7 square miles (1.7 km²) of it (2.86%) is water.Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 4,173 people, 1,629 households, and 1,148 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 183.2 people per square mile (70.8/km²). There were 1,851 housing units at an average density of 81.3/sq mi (31.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.28% White, 0.26% African American, 0.36% Native American, 2.85% Asian, 0.24% from other races, and 1.01% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.81% of the population.There were 1,629 households out of which 34.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.6% were married couples living together, 9.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.5% were non-families. 22.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.03.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 29.6% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.6 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $40,901, and the median income for a family was $45,484. Males had a median income of $35,270 versus $25,114 for females. The
