Career
DeLane Matthews was raised in northern Florida but moved to Manhattan after being hired to join the Kennedy Center/Juilliard School Acting Company. She began her acting career on stage, appearing Off-Broadway in City Boys at the Jewish Rep, and Pieces of Eight at The Public Theatre. She also performed in The Cradle Will Rock, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Pericles, and toured in The Bat, Grease, and I Oughta Be in Pictures.
Following daytime television work in General Hospital and The Guiding Light in New York City, she transitioned into primetime television as a cast-member of the Peter Boyle series Joe Bash.
Television guest-credits include Castle, Cold Case, Diagnosis Murder, From the Earth to the Moon, Murphy Brown, Nip/Tuck, Quantum Leap, and The Shield.
DeLane also appeared in The Muppets' "She Drives Me Crazy" music video.
