We Are the Fury is an American rock band.

Musical career

The group was founded in Toledo, Ohio in 1999 under the name Hearsay. They changed names to Hearsay TAO and released an album and an EP under this name. They signed to One Big Spark Records (a Warner Bros. Records subsidiary) in the Summer of 2005, and had to change their name to We Are the Fury for legal reasons. The band re-released their EP as Infinite Jest through the label in 2006, and released their debut full length album, titled Venus, May 22, 2007. They were named an "Artist to Watch" by Rolling Stone in 2007. Tours

We Are the Fury has toured extensively in support of their debut album Venus. The band has toured with well known acts, including, Silverchair, Jack's Mannequin, Head Automatica, Men, Women and Children, and Bedouin Soundclash along with participating in the entire 2006 Vans Warped Tour, CMJ Independent Music Festival, South by Southwest, Bamboozle, part of the 2007 Vans Warped Tour and CollegeFest.

Fall 2007 has We Are the Fury touring with Electric Six and The Gore Gore Girls, as well as opening up for the band Silverchair on several of the Australian band's North American concert dates.

February 4th - March 10th 2008, We are the Fury tours with legendary group "The New York Dolls"

The band opened for Ted Nugent on his 6,000th concert at the DTE Music Theater in July 2008.
