Eamon O'Neill (Northern Ireland politician)

Eamon O'Neill (born 15 September 1944) is a nationalist politician in Northern Ireland.

Born in Emyvale, County Monaghan, O'Neill studied at St Mary's College in Strawberry Hill, then with the Open University. He began working as a teacher in 1968, and in 1977 was elected to Down District Council for the Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP).

At the Northern Ireland Assembly election, 1998, O'Neill was elected in South Down. However, he lost his seat at the 2003 election.
