Robot Needs Home is a British, Leicester-based independent record label which handles releases by bands such as Maybeshewill, Herra Hidro and Fight Fire With Water.

Robot Needs Home is a trading name of RockFood Music, a Leicester based Fanzine and Promotions Company. Robot Needs Home was founded in 2005 to handle releases from artists managed by RockFood. Releases from this first year were not given catalogue numbers.

The label is run principally by John Helps of Maybeshewill, with the assistance of other members of the band, and prominent members of the Leicester music community

Ethics and Ideals

The label is a strong supporter of DIY ethics and Independence within the music industry. Rather than aiming to make profits from artists, the label has stated that its aims are to assist the artists it looks after in moving on to larger independent or major labels.
