GPT

GPT is an acronym which stands for:

* Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase, an enzyme which allows to determine the liver function in a blood test
* xanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl-transferase - gpt, a purine salvage enzyme (from "E.coli") which can act as a selectable marker in mammalian cells. In the presence of mycophenolic acid it can act as a dominant selectable marker, especially useful for the generation of recombinant poxviruses.
* GUID Partition Table, the disk partitioning format commonly used by EFI-compliant firmware.
* Grid Packaging Tools, multiplatform packaging system used to deploy Grid middleware
