The IEEE/OSA Journal of Lightwave Technology is a monthly magazine covering advancements in the optical guided-wave science, technology, and engineering disciplines. Topics of interest include fiber and cable technologies, active and passive guide-wave componentry (light sources, detectors, repeaters, switches, fiber sensors, etc.), integrated optics/optoelectronics, systems and subsystems, networks and switching, new applications, and unique field trials.
The Journal of Lightwave Technology is published jointly by the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society, the Optical Society of America, IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Electron Devices Society, IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, IEEE Microwave Theory and Technique Society and the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society.
