90.1 FM KKFI is Kansas City, Missouri's only community radio station, broadcasting at 100,000 watts. It was started in 1988. The format is jazz and blues during weekday afternoons, Latin music on weekday evenings, and a variety of news, talk, and other music programming during all other hours. KKFI is a Pacifica Radio affiliate and is the only station in Kansas City that broadcasts Democracy Now!.
