International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS) - Devi Ahilya University (DAVV), Indore was founded in 1992. The institute is situated in the Takshila Campus of the Devi Ahilya University which is on the Khandwa Road.

It is a department of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and is recognized byAICTE.With the quality in the content, scope and professionalism of itscross-disciplinary programs, IIPS has emerged as one of the best centers oftechnical education in central India in just ten years. MCA

Masters of computer applications is a six-year postgraduate degree program. This is the only six year MCA program. Students join after the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate. The MCA program of IIPS is recognised by AICTE.Here the students are taught not only about the core subjects and languages but a Industrial or On-The-Job training is also given to them.

M Tech

Maters of Technology is a 5 1/2 Yrs integrated degree course.here also a student deals with the core subjects along with the subjects covering hardware and electronics,Interdisciplinary courses,maths,statistics, science and IT electives. here also the students get Industrial or On-The-Job Training for a semester.

MBA-MS

MBA-MS (2 Yrs)

MBA-MS (2 Yrs) programme. This was earlier called Master of Management Science (MMS) 2 Yrs. Students join after graduation. Admission to this programme is on the basis of State level test (MPMET) and All India Level Entrance Test (ATMA).

MBA-MS (5 Yrs)

The MBA-MS (5 Yrs) programme used to be called as Master of Management Science (MMS). Students join after the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate.

MBA (T)

The university introduced two years Master of Administration [MBA (T)] in 1992 with the nomenclature Master of Tourism Administration(MTA).The academic performance of a student is continously evaluated through a set of formal and informal methods involving tests, case discussion and class presentations.The travel Agency and Tour operations papers are based on IATA-UFTAA standards and advanced course curriculum, follows a cumulative grading system.Here we have summer training for 6-8 weeks.The target od the programme was burgeoning Travel, Tourism and Cargo industry.The swirling industry has assumed many penumbras operations of others: Para Banking & Money changing,Logistics,Air & Shipping Cargo Management,Tours,Rail & Fleet Car Operations, Conference & Convention Management,Time sharing,Leisure and event management.These are in addition to the backbone basic.

B.Com (Hons.)

This is a 3 yrs programme for students belonging to commerce background.This course provides a student good knowledge of business and computers together, which is quite rare.

MBA(APR)

The programme started to prepare a cadre of outstanding `communication` professionals with broad based knowledge and critical interpersonal skills necessary to meet the challenges of the corporate society.city.

ACTIVITIES

XPRESSIONS

A fun activity to gather all the students together and live up the atmosphere.It is mainly a 2 day event but it marks its cumin from 1 week before its arrival with the starting of a theme week for all the students participating in it.The students are given a chance not only to dance and enjoy but also to enhance and bring out their technical skills.Different teams are formed where in a team students of different courses participate. So this is a nice place where students of different courses meet and get to know each other.

YNERGY

"Players play,they do not care about winning and losing".Synergy is a sports event.Here everyone can play and bring out their qualities.Here the students of all courses come together and enjoy different compititions.Synergy is a 3 day event organised by a commitee formed by the senior students of IIPS themselves.

YI-IIPS Net

IIPS in ts endeavour to promote industry institute interface,has signed a MOU with Young Indians,a venture promoted by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).The student membersof this group undertake specific projects that may be social or commercial in nature.The enterpreuners and managers from the city ,who are members of CII help these students carry outr their projects.This benefits the students in multiple ways :
** It enhances their managerial skills
**It gives them a platform to exihibit their potential
**It helps them develop PR with people from industry
**Indirect help in placementsThe students have undertaken few projects ,which have beenacclaimed by the academicians as well as industry.Some of these are still in progress.Few of them are listed herein:
**"ANSH" An online database of around 1500 blood donors in Indore.M.Y.Hospital and other hospitals are using the database.

DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

The Development Centre(DC) is an exclusive facility for the IIPSstudents where they get a chance to enhance their skills by developingsoftwares for various government organisation in central India.The softwares are completely developed by the students.All the new recruitments in DC are taught by the senior students already working there .Some of the projects undertook by DC are a) The Computerisation of the M.Y.Hospital. b) The Computerisation of various police stations in CentralIndia.
