Career
Daniela begun her career at the age of 13, at Portuguesa de Desportos. She also played for Göteborg and Saad EC, for which she won the Copa do Brasil de Futebol Feminino 2007 (and was the top scorer with 14 goals). Then she went to play as a volante (defensive midfielder) for Swedish Linköpings FC after leaving Saad EC in February 2008. She now plays for The Saint Louis Athletica of the Women's Professional Soccer League in the United States. In Athletica's fourth game against the Washington Freedom, Daniela scored the club's first two goals of the season, before suffering a season-ending injury resulting from an unfortunate tackle by Abby Wambach.
International
She was a member of the Brazilian National Team that participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics and won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
