Nuvoiz SoftPhone is a SIP and XMPP based SoftPhone application for Voice over IP and instant messaging. It is developed by Nuvoiz Inc. for enterprises. The first version of the program was released on September 10, 2006.

The latest version currently runs on Windows XP, Windows 2000, and also Windows Mobile 2003 and 2005 based PDAs and SmartPhones.

SIP and XMPP Compliant

Nuvoiz Communicator is SIP and XMPP compliant, which ensures that it has the highest level of interoperability with other SIP and XMPP servers and clients. This makes it interoperable with other clients such as Google Talk.

Works in WiFi and 3G Networks

Mobility is an important requirement in unified communications. Nuvoiz Communicator enables users to be highly mobile by supporting WiFi and cellular 3G broadband wireless networks. Users can talk and instant message on the go, whether their device or laptop is connected to a local WiFi network or wide area 3G cellular network.

Nuvoiz Communicator uses Nuvoiz’s patent-pending NAT and firewall traversal technology for 100% VoIP call connectivity through peer-to-peer connections as first goal, or media relay as backup. With this optimal peer-to-peer approach, call quality is assured to be very high.
