Sadwal is a village outside the city of Chakwal, in Punjab, Pakistan. It is part of Kahutani illaqa of old times. There are number of known personalitiesFact|date=November 2007: software engineers, army officers, doctors, professors, politicians (Previous Nazim of U.C Odherwal Haji Abdul Rashid also belongs to Sadwal). Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Kahut, a Senior Public Health Specialist of Pakistan who is National Programme Officer in World Health Organization, Islamabad and was Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital Chakwal (1999-2003) and Executive District Officer Health Chaklwal (2004-Aug. 2007), is also a resident of this village (Kahut House Sadwal). The Government Rural Dispensary was established by him in Sadwal in 2005.Ch. Dost Mohammad Kahut( then Dhoke Daraz) was a well known personality of the village who was known for his hospitality and his hobby of Karrah ( a local game played with Dhani-Bail). His family now resides at Kahut House, Sadwal and Dr Kahut is his grand son. Lt.Col.(Rtd) Dr. Ahmad Furjam also belongs to Sadwal. There is one girls high school, one boys middle school and one private high school. Two coal roads lead to Sadwal from Bhoun road. Gas supply for this village has been approved and soon there will be gas . Telephone facility is already there. There is one post office and a dispensary.

Basically Sadwal is an agricultural village, with the main products being wheat and peanuts. Dairies are also found in the village, the milk of Buffalos & Cows are very popular and available in abundance in the village. Poultry farming is also a famous business in Sadwal.

Many people from the village are working in foreign countries (most in Hong Kong and Gulf Countries) and are a good source of foreign income. As a whole SADWAL is a moderate and facilitative Village.
