Kotla Arab Ali Khan

Kotla Arab Ali Khan is town and Union Council of Kharian Tehsil located in the Gujrat District of Pakistan, Pakistan [ [http://www.nrb.gov.pk/lg_election/union.asp?district=10&dn=Gujrat Tehsils & Unions in the District of Gujrat - Government of Pakistan] ] . The town is located 35km away from the district capital Gujrat and 14km away from the town of Bhimber, Azad Kashmir. The area is located in the foothills of the Himalayas.

Kotal was a small village but it expanded after the construction of Bhimbar road, and Kotal has now become a small town with a lot of commercial activity.

The local enmities among different families, clans and bandits have adversely affected the village. The travellers, merchants and farmers are afraid of banditry. These bandit groups are denying the state monopoly over the possession of arms. It is a form of crime that rose out of political social crisis. The peasant outlaws are considered as heroes and fighters for justice by the local administration in order to get maximum bribe. The local politician are also using these social bandits for redistribution of wealth and these groups are the possessors of unproductive wealth. Most of the adults are either uneducated and unemployed or they are working in Western countries as labourers or taxi-drivers. Some are working in good position Specially in Gulf they are very civilized persons
