Tantasqua Regional High School is located in
Fiskdale, Massachusetts . The school is divided into two divisions, an Academic Division, and a Technical Division, which offers vocational training in Carpentry, Computer Aided Design/ Drafting, Computer Technology, Culinary Arts, Electrical Health Sciences and Manufacturing. Currently there are approximately 1300 students enrolled in the school in both divisions. The school colors are green and gold and the school song isMen of Harlech .History
Tantasqua Regional High School was founded in 1954. A new high school was completed in 2002. The school derives its name from Tantiusques ("tan-tas-qua"), a Nipmuck word meaning "to a black deposit between two hills1.
Athletics
Tantasqua has varsity teams in the following sports: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track, Field Hockey, Football, Soccer, Swimming & Diving, Track & Field, Tennis, Lacrosse, and Volleyball.
In 2007, the Boys Basketball team captured the MIAA Division II State Championship. The following season they made it to the MIAA D-2 State Finals again, only to lose in a rematch with Catholic Memorial.Marching Band
In 2007, Direction of the Tantasqua Warrior Marching Band was taken over by Music Director Lucy Colwell. Mrs. Colwell serves as Marching Band Director in addition to her duties as director of the Tantasqua Junior High School band program. In 2008, Colwell brought in Massachusetts drill designer and creative consultant Nicholas McKenzie to assist with the marching band program in an attempt to bring the band "to the next level." Under this joint leadership, the group has evolved from a "park-and-play" band to a true "corps-style" field show marching band.
The band's 2008 show includes musical selections from Cirque du Soleil's production 'La Nouba'.
Drum Major for the 2008 Season is Molly Porter, and Color Guard Captain is Courtney Little.

There is currently one school newspaper at Tantasqua, "The Tomahawk", and an online magazine titled "The Tantasqua Voice", which is produced by students in journalism class. Students in media class periodically air programs on the local cable access channel. Published once a year is the literary and creative arts magazine, "Passages". In addition to these publications is the yearbook, "Tantasquan."
