Detroit Harbor Terminals Building
- Detroit Harbor Terminals Building
The Detroit Harbor Terminals Building is a large factory warehouse that is located on the west side Vernor neighbourhood of Detroit, Michigan. It stands half-way between the Ambassador Bridge, and Fort Wayne, near Zug Island.
This large warehouse was constructed in 1925 near the Port of Detroit and Port of Windsor), and stands at 10 storeys in height. According to fire insurance maps, this building's height is 115 feet from the ground to the main roof, but does not include the penthouse floor at the top.
The Detroit Harbor Terminals Building is currently vacant, having last been used as the Detroit dock for the Boblo Island ferries, which ended service to the Canadian resort island in 1993. This building is notable for still having the huge 10-storey advertisement for Boblo Island on its eastern wall still painted on its walls, visible from the Detroit River, and Windsor, Ontario.
