"Some Cities" is the third album by the band Doves. The first single, "Black and White Town" was released on February 7, 2005, two weeks before the album itself on February 21, 2005. It went straight to number 1 in the UK albums chart in its first chart week.

* The album is also available as a Special Edition, with a DVD containing a short documentary featuring the making of the album.
* The last track, "Ambition" was recorded in an empty monastery. The huge reverb effect was achieved using the acoustics of the main hall. The recording process is shown on the DVD included with the special edition of the album.
