The prokineticin receptor is a G-protein coupled receptor which binds the peptide hormone prokineticin. There are two variants each encoded by a different gene (gene|PROKR1, gene|PROKR1).cite journal | author = Lin DC, Bullock CM, Ehlert FJ, Chen JL, Tian H, Zhou QY | title = Identification and molecular characterization of two closely related G protein-coupled receptors activated by prokineticins/endocrine gland vascular endothelial growth factor | journal = J.
