New South Wales Debating Union
- New South Wales Debating Union
The New South Wales Debating Union (NSWDU) is the affiliate association of the Australian Debating Federation for the state of New South Wales. It is an independent not-for-profit organization that seeks to promote and develop debating in New South Wales. Its primary focus is on teaching and promoting debating to high school students.
NSWDU selects, coaches and manages the New South Wales Schools Debating Team which competes at the Australian Schools Debating Championships every year. In the competition’s history, NSW has been the most successful state having won 11 times and been runner-up 10 times.
NSWDU also holds regular workshops at schools across the state run by experienced debating adjudicators and coaches who offer their services on a voluntary basis.
