"How Do You Do It?" was the debut single by Liverpudlian band Gerry & The Pacemakers. The song was number-one in the UK Singles Chart on 11th April, 1963, where it stayed for a total of three weeks. The song was written by Mitch Murray. Adam Faith had turned it down and The Beatles chose not to release it (they did record the song but chose to release their own song "Love Me Do" instead). The song was produced by George Martin and became a number one hit in the UK, until being replaced at the top by "From Me to You", The Beatles' third single. The song was also title song to an E.P. 7" record featuring the songs: "How Do You Do It?"; "Away From You"; "I Like It" and "It's Happened To Me". (Columbia SEG8257, released July 1963)

A recording by The Beatles can be heard on "Anthology 1". The song is still popular with many people today.
