There are branch stations located on Broadway in the western neighborhoods of the city and on NY 52 in the hamlet of Gardnertown.
The building itself is a two-story brick structure built in the early 1930s. It was designed under the supervision of James Wetmore, supervising architect for the Treasury Department at the time, and takes a Colonial Revival style. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989; it is a contributing property to the Montgomery-Grand-Liberty Streets Historic District.
