Cristian Roberto Uribe Lara is a football player from Chile in the end of his career. Currently is 32 years old and plays for San Luis Quillota has defense midlefielder.

Uribe played for Chile at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship in the United Arab Emirates.[1]

Club career

Benfica

Uribe was promoted to Huachipato first team in 1994, at the age of 18. He was consecatred in the team, after of play the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship, his good performance in the club made that the Chilean football giant Colo-Colo signed to Uribe. After one year in Colo-Colo, he was transferred to SL Benfica of the Portuguese Liga in 2000.

In the Portuguese club, Uribe was managed by José Mourinho and he entered with not much frequency to the starting eleven. He scored his first goal for the club in the Lisbon Derby against Sporting CP, on a free kick service for the Taça de Portugal. However, he realizated a poor season in the club and after abandoned the institution.

Huachipato

Uribe return to play in Huachipato in the season 2001. On 3 March 2001, he made his Huachipato debut against Santiago Morning in a Primera División game at Estadio Las Higueras. His first goal came against Unión San Felipe on 6 July for the league. In the tournament, he scored 1 goal in 24 games, despite his lack of goal, Fido Dido was an important player in the club.

Huachipato extended the contract of Uribe for the 2002 season, and continued in Talcahuano club until 2003, leaving the team at the end this season for Portguese club Moreirense of the Liga de Honra (Portuguese second tier).
