It was founded in 1900 by the Christian Brothers, who still run the school, though most of the teachers arelay people . In order to graduate from Christian Brothers Academy, students must complete all credit requirements, and they must perform community service. New York Regents Exams also apply in order to receive a New York State Regents Diploma in addition to a CBA diploma.
