Robert II, Duke of Parma

Robert II, Duke of Parma and Piacenza (Italian: "Roberto II, Duca di Parma e Piacenza"; 1909 – 1974) was the head of the House of Bourbon-Parma and the titular duke of Parma from 1959 till 1974.

Biography

Robert II was born the second but eldest surviving son of Elias, Duke of Parma and Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria (1882-1940). He succeeded his father Elias as Duke of Parma upon his death in 1950. He continued to be styled as Robert II, Duke of Parma, until his death in 1974. He died unmarried and without issue, and was succeeded by his half-uncle Xavier.
