Imee Ooi

Imee Ooi (Ch: 黃慧音, pinyin: Huàng Huìyīn) is a Malaysian music producer, composer, arranger and vocalist who produces chants Buddhist mantras and dharanis (typically from the Sanskrit, Pali, Tibetan or Mandarin language). She is also the musical director and composer of two highly-acclaimed stage musicals, Siddhartha and Above Full Moon.

Ooi established I.M.M Musicworks in 1997 and has released over 20 albums to date. She is a classical pianist by training.

She is also working on a musical entitled Jewel of Tibet. The musical is set during the Tang Dynasty and is about a princess who marries a Tibetan and how he brings Buddhism to China.
