South Link (Link Light Rail)

South Link (Link Light Rail)

The South Link is a southern extension of the Central Link light rail line spanning about 23 miles from Sea-Tac Airport to Tacoma Dome Station in Tacoma, Washington, USA. The South Link will compose of three lines/projects:
* Sea-Tac Airport Station - Tacoma Dome Station
* Conversion of Tacoma Link to Central Link-standards
* Extension to Tacoma Community College

Routing

From Sea-Tac Airport Station, trains will travel on an elevated guideway along State Route 99 to Federal Way then move towards the western side of Interstate 5 down to Fife, and eventually travel over E. Bay St. towards the Tacoma Dome Station on S. 25th St.

As part of the ST2 update on ballot this fall, link light rail would terminate at Redondo/Star Lake. The rest would be reserved right-of-way for the future.
