Eirik Glambek Bøe (born
October 25 ,1975 ) is from Bergen Norway and is amusician , writer and vocalist, best known for being part of the pop duoKings of Convenience together withErlend Øye . He has also studiedpsychology at the University at Bergen [http://www.uib.no/info/english/] . Although his native language is Norwegian, many of his writings are in English. His girlfriend is modelIna Grung , who also appears on the Kings of Convenience CD covers.He formed the band "
Skog " together with Øye in the 1990s. They formed the Kings of Convenience in 1998 and released their firstalbum , "Kings of Convenience (2000)". This was followed by "Quiet is the New Loud" in January 2001. Øye had become interested inelectronic music and in October 2001 they released theremix album "Versus". The single "Toxic Girl" brought Bøe's music to the attention of fans and received critical acclaim for its unpretentious simplicity and lyrical quality. In 2004 the Kings of Convenience released "Riot on an Empty Street" which was followed by aEurope an andNorth America n tour in 2005.In 2006 he supported
Erlend Øye 's bandThe Whitest Boy Alive at some dates on their Scandinavian tour with his new bandKommode , who are currently in studio. Kommode features members ofSkog , except forErlend Øye .In a rare guest vocal appearance, Eirik sings on the track "How My Heart Behaves" on Feist's 2007 release,
