The Ottawa Carleton E-School is a private virtual high school run out of Embrun, Ontario, and is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and is inspected every other year by that ministry.

The school offers 49 courses online, and serves many students with disabilities and many who live in rural areas across Canada.[1]

Classes meet weekly during Web-based sessions with a live teacher, who sets and grades assignments that are submitted by e-mail. Students also discuss assignments outside of class in an online forum.[2]
