Erateini or Eratini (Greek: Ερατεινή), older forms:, -o -on(Greek: also with the second i accented is a Greek village and it also serves the municipal seat of the municipality of Tolofona, it is in the southern part of the Phocis prefecture. Erateini is connected with the new GR-48 linking Antirrio as well as Patras and Itea along with Amfissa and the GR-27 and is also the E65. Erateini is located south of Lidoriki, 50 km southwest of Amfissa and about 30 to 35 km southwestItea and east of Nafpaktos and Antirrio. Erateini had a 2001 population of was 726 for the village.

Population

Geography

The geography around Erateini is situated by a bay that has a beach and a small harbor. Its mountains surround the area and are mainly made up of bushes and grasslands, forests are sporadically founded. During clear days, it offers a view of the Peloponnese peninsula that sees the mountains within Diakopto and the Mavria Mountains southward.

Information

After World War II and the Greek Civil War, many of the buildings were rebuilt. Houses were stone-built until the 1950s and did not surpass modern-style homes until the 1980s. It was linked with pavement in the 1980s. Most of the homes are abandoned today.

Erateinihas a school, a lyceum (middle school), a gymnasium (secondary school.) a church, and a square ("plateia").
