Level Platforms was formed in 1999 as an international
Managed Service Provider serving small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). The company subsequently shifted its strategy to leverage its experience to create the next generation remote monitoring and managementsoftware to help IT service providers transform theirbusiness models from reactive break/fix to proactive managed services.The company was founded by Peter Sandiford, formerly the
President and Vice Chairman of SHL Systemhouse Inc. In the nine years he held these positions he led the growth of their revenues from $35 million to over $1 billion ranking number 43 on the VAR Business 500 before its acquisition by MCI in the late 1990s.May 2004, Level Platforms released Managed Workplace 3.0 as the first version of its managed services software for IT service providers.
