Warren Wendel Wiersbe is an American pastor and a prolific writer of Christian literature, born on May 16, 1929 in East Chicago. He is perhaps best known for his series of 27 books in the "Be" series: "Be Real, Be Rich, Be Mature, Be Joyful", etc.

Warren Wiersbe studied at Indiana University, Roosevelt University, and the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1953. He has been pastor of three churches, including Chicago's Moody Church from 1971 to 1978. At Moody Church he took up radio ministry and between 1984 and 1990 he was general director of the Back to the Bible radio broadcasting network. He has also held various positions at Cornerstone College, Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and is a contributing editor to Baker Book House. He has been writing books since the 1960s.
