The State Entrance Examination - Uttar Pradesh Technical University (popularly known as
UPSEAT or SEE-UPTU) is an annual college entrance examination inUttar Pradesh for engineering, architecture, pharmacy and management courses. All the institutions affiliated to theUPTU admit new students by the centralized counseling done by theUPTU . The Private Institutions may, however admit 15% of the total intake directly. It is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University.Current examination format
as per the new format, it had two papers. The syllabus of the examination is based on topics covered by the UP Board, CBSE Board Examination (AISSCE) and the ISC Board Examination , though all topics of the AISSCE and the ISC are not included in the JEE syllabus. The pattern of questions in
UPSEAT is almost fixed. Currently, the examination has objective type question paper for all the subjects and uses machine readable OMR answer sheets.History
