Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 55

Pennsylvania's 55th Representative District comprises mostly Westmoreland County with a sliver of Armstrong County in it. Within Westmoreland County, it includes the following cities and towns:

*City of Latrobe
*Part of Allegheny Township (PART Districts 03 and 05)
*Bell Township
*Derry Township
*Loyalhanna Township
*Part of Unity Township (PART, Districts Baggaley, Dorothy, Gravel Hill, Lloydsville and Whitney)
*Washington Township
*Avonmore Borough
*Derry Borough
*Vandergrift Borough
*East Vandergrift Borough
*Hyde Park Borough
*New Alexandria Borough
*Oklahoma Borough
*West Leechburg Borough
*Youngstown Borough

Within Armstrong County, the 55th district includes Leechburg Borough. As of 2007, the total population of the district was 61,837. The District is Represented by Democrat Joseph A. Petrarca who has represented the District since 1995.
