Mark Fernyhough (born 1983) is a singer/songwriter, writer, dj and model.
Mark was born in
Stafford ,England and currently resides betweenLondon andBerlin . In 2006 Mark undertook a solo musical career, which initially saw him pursue an acoustic sound, although his recent work has at times moved drastically away from this. Mark's first collection of solo songs [http://www.neilleyton.com/discography.html] was produced by Neil Leyton [http://www.neilleyton.com] in a WestLondon studio. In late 2006 his song Black Birds received airplay onBBC radio and was released internationally through the Fading Ways record label. Mark ended the year by performing a sold out Christmas show at The Buffalo Bar inLondon . 2007 saw him receive even greater radio airplay, and in June he played a liveBBC radio session debuting the song 'all the wrong words'. During the session, he discussed his work and recent relocation toBerlin .Additionally to performing his music live, Mark regularly makes guest dj appearances with the critically acclaimed photographer Heike Schneider-Matzigkeit [http://www.thyshell.com] under the moniker 'A Matter of Civilization'. These have taken place at London clubs such as
Trash , White Heat, Hanky Panky and Club NME.
