Don Wheldon
For the race car driver, see Dan Wheldon.

Donald Wheldon (December 28, 1954 – June 2, 1985) was a former professional ice hockey defenseman who played two games for the St. Louis Blues in the 1974–75 NHL season. He was born in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Wheldon was killed in a rather bizarre way on June 3, 1985 when he was sleeping. A bolt of lightning hit his house and traveled up the metal frame of his bed which killed him.[1]
