Carrefour Express is supermarket chain operating 21 supermarkets in
Romania , owned by the French Carrefour Group. Until September 2008, the supermarkets were previously branded Artima. Artima was bought by Carrefour for €21 million in October 2007, with the rebranding to "Carrefour Express" taking place nearly a year later. Carrefour Express stores are local supermarkets, and are thus different to conventional Carrefour branches in Romania, which arehypermarkets .Carrefour Express has stores in the following cities:

Alfa Supermarket (a local retailer) is about to be merged to Carrefour, creating a supermarket bussiness to Carrefour Indonesia. The name "Alfa" later will be converted to Carrefour Express.
This "Carrefour Express" will be the first Carrefour's supermarket in Asia since there are only Carrefour Hypermarket stores in Asian countries.
