Conn Jackson (born January 24, 1967) is host and executive producer of the Conn Jackson Show,[1] formerly known as Cafe Central TV. Jackson left investment banking after the September 11 attacks to return to his entertainment roots.

Birth and education

Jackson was born in Redondo Beach, California. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where he gained a bachelor of arts degree. He also went to Harvard University were he received an MBA.

Women focused show

Jackson dedicated the creation of the show to his mother. His mother had a major influence on his life, raising him on her own. Many of the public service announcements run during the show relate to fathers getting involved in their children's lives.

Women’s issues

At the forefront of Jackson’s life is fighting for women’s issues.[2] He is often quoted as saying, “I believe my Mom deserved better and so do women of today.” He has an active role in the Women’s Leadership Exchange where he is a board member.[3] He also has high-profile women on his show, with recent examples including Maya Angelou, Jane Fonda and Arianna Huffington.

The Conn Jackson Show

The Conn Jackson Show presently reaches 15 million cable homes in the Southeast. The program was created right after the September 11 attacks to recognize people, places and activities making a difference. The show is currently shown in Australia, Bermuda and 60 markets in the US including Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. The show is also broadcast on Pride Nation from Key West on WGAY-LP. The Conn Jackson Show has interviewed: Rudy Giuliani, Ted Turner, Magic Johnson, Emeril Lagasse, Michael Kors, LeAnn Rimes, Tommy Hilfiger, Samuel L Jackson, Carl Lewis, Robert Verdi, Donald Trump and Mark Burnett among many prominent others.
