The Greater Fairy Armadillo ("Calyptophractus retusus"), also known as Burmeister's Armadillo or the Chacoan Fairy Armadillo, is a species of armadillo in the Dasypodidae family. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland. It is threatened by habitat loss.

It is the only species in the genus "Calyptophractus"
