Ronny Munroe is the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band
Metal Church . He joined in 2004, replacing David Wayne, who died due to complications following a car crash in 2005. Grew up inFife, Washington . Born in 1965. Has a son and a daughter.Munroe started his music career as a drummer for the band Madhouse. Munroe's first position as a
vocalist was with the band Moxi. He was the lead vocalist for theSeattle band Far Cry in the early 1990's Far Cry's CD was released in 2007 byRetrospect Records . Munroe was with the Seattle band Rottweiller when he was asked to audition forKurdt Vanderhoof for a project Kurdt was working on. It was during that audition that Kurdt decided to resurrect Metal Church with Munroe as their frontman.Ronny Munroe studied voice under David Kyle, who also taught Ann and
Nancy Wilson of Heart,Geoff Tate ofQueensrÿche , andLayne Staley ofAlice in Chains . Munroe is best known for his broadvocal range and power and his ability to capture his audiences attention. Munroe currently resides in theSan Francisco Bay Area town ofCastro Valley . When not on tour with Metal Church he gives vocal lessons to children and is a active member of the charity CliveAid, which raises awareness for teenage cancers and MS. The charity was started to help Clive Burr, the former drummer for Iron Maiden, who suffers from MS.
