The Distant Future is the Grammy-award winning EP by New Zealand folk-parody duo Flight of the Conchords,[3] released on August 7, 2007. It was certified Gold in New Zealand on May 11, 2008, selling over 7,500 copies.[4]

The album was produced by Mickey Petralia (Beck - Midnite Vultures) and recorded in LA and New York by Mickey and engineer Matt Shane. The live portions are taken from concerts at Comix Comedy Club in New York City.
