"V: The New Mythology Suite", a concept album, is the fifth studio album from progressive metal band Symphony X. The album deals with the story of Atlantis, ancient Egyptian mythology and astrology.

The album includes pieces from Verdi's Requiem, Mozart's Requiem, Bach's Concerto for Harpsichord in D minor, BWV 1052, and Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra.

Member changes

V was the first album to feature new bass player Michael Lepond, who was chosen out of many other bassists to replace Thomas Miller. With the addition of Lepond, 3 of the 5 band members now answer to the name Michael.

Jason Rullo rejoined the band, after being absent on Twilight in Olympus.
