Captain Fate is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe.

Publication history

Captain Fate first appeared in "Man-Thing" #13-14 (January-February 1975), and was created by Steve Gerber and John Buscema.

The character subsequently appears in "Man-Thing" #7-8 (November 1980, January 1981).

Fictional character biography

Captain Fate is a 200-year-old Earth sea pirate cursed to sail the spaceways aboard his ship the "Serpent’s Crown" forever by the wizard/satyr Khordes. Captain Fate and his crew came into conflict with the Man-Thing but were defeated. Captain Fate later allied with Thog the Nether-Spawn.
