Parasite hosting is the process of hosting a site on some one else's server without their consent, generally for the purpose of search engine benefit.

Getting hosting

Many sites, including social media sites like digg or reddit, allow users to create pages about themselves. Many .edu sites allow their students to create pages on their domains. These pages are used for parasite hosting.

Advantages of parasite hosting

.Edu sites and social media sites are rated highly by the search engines. Pages on these domains are rated better than similar pages on other domains.
