St. James' Church, New York is a Roman Catholic church located at 32 James Street in Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York. It is the second oldest Catholic building in New York ["Guide to New York City Landmarks", 3rd edition, pg 41] , built in 1837 of fieldstone and has a pair of Doric columns flanking the entrance.
Alfred E. Smith served as an altar boy at this church.
This church was intended to be torn down in 1986, but was saved by the efforts of the community, especially the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
