San Diego State University and was drafted in the 26th round of the 1997 draft by the Texas Rangers. From 1997-2003 he pitched in the Rangers Minor League system for theGulf Coast Rangers ,Savannah Sand Gnats , Charlotte Rangers,Tulsa Drillers ,Oklahoma RedHawks andFrisco RoughRiders . His best year was 2003 with Frisco where he went 3-5, 2.48 ERA and recorded 31 saves.He signed with the
St. Louis Cardinals as a minor league free agent after the 2003 season and then was traded to thePhiladelphia Phillies during spring training. In 2004, pitched with the "AA"Reading Phillies and the "AAA"Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons . Signed a minor league contract with theToronto Blue Jays before the 2005 season and played with the "AAA"Syracuse SkyChiefs . Joined theLos Angeles Dodgers system for the 2006 season and spent most of the year with the "AA"Jacksonville Suns . As a starter with Jacksonville, he was 15-2, 2.27 ERA in 24 starts. Lundberg was named the 2006 Southern League Most Outstanding Pitcher.In 2007, he compiled a record of 7-7 with a 6.94 ERA for the "AAA"
